Judging from this photo of Beyoncè taken at Morro Dona Marta in Rio, capulanas are about to become the next big celeb thing. Check out all those colors and patterns! Of course many of us have known that wax print fabric (capulanas/kangas/etc.) is fabulous for clothes for quite some time, but it would be quite a kick to see it catch on with the Hollywood crowd.I'm actually really looking forward to the video from Beyoncè and Alicia Keys' new song they are working on together. Should be pretty fab if the still photos from the video shoot are any indication.

last year i saw a hollywood celeb on the red carpet with a capulana dress...barack obama face stamped on the center. and i thought, it will catch on, especially with Barack being half Kenyan.
~Anonymous - I must have missed that particular dress! I picked up one of those capulanas while in Nairobi and figure it will be great to show our kids someday. :)
