Smile ... I have been so waiting for the news and unable to respond until it was all official. I am happy for you both. There is a reason why God sent such lovely women to keep you company on this journey I think.

Gosh ... but the time is flying isn't it. I have been home for over two months. I wanna come back!

Hi there!
I found yr blog when looking at expats experiences in Moz. I've been offered a position with the UNDP in Maputo and would like to discuss the pros and cons of moving there for at least 12 months (maybe more). I'm Brazilian and my wife is American, both of us with considerable international development and private sector experience (mostly in Latin America) and considering what to do next. The job I'm considering involves investment promotion (my field of expertise)for Moz, so I would be interested in talking to you and your fiancée about your impressions on investment opportunities for the private sector in the country, and well as the general living conditions in the country.
Um abraço e sucesso!

~Toni - Thanks, we are really happy with our decision and looking forward to what this time here will still bring.

~Lacithecat - I know, tell me about it. I've been dying with all the waiting. :) Even though you've left Moz for the time being, you know you're one of those girls, right?

~Marcos - Hi, I'd be happy to talk more with you about this. I'm going to your blog now to leave you a comment, but send me an e-mail when you get a chance, okay?

Abraços e boa sorte.

Hi there! I am not entirely familiar with the blogger interface, and cannot find your email address (I would assume that is not accessible to the general public for privacy reasons...right?). In any case, please email me at "vaena at msn dot com", then we can start talking about yr experience living & working in Moz. My wife and I are really excited about this opportunity (she also works with i-dev issues in Africa) so exchanging info with colleagues in the field is always helpful. Looking forward for your contact. Um abraço,
Marcos
