Blue, Green and Silver Style

Here are some of my latest creations...

The bracelets are done with carved jade beads and old African glass beads with sterling silver accents.

The necklace is one of my favorite designs that happened totally by accident when I looped a long chain with beads twice around my neck and loved the result. It is done in silver with foil-lined glass beads. The necklace and the matching earrings (not pictured) were purchased by Lacithecat, one of my lovely girlfriends here in Maputo, and will make a great christmas gift for someone.

This is so much fun!

What a happy accident this was--I love the "double wrap". The bracelets were also lovely...lately I have been wearing stacks of them, new for me--not sure why. Yours here were just beautiful.

All that jewelry is beautiful, Ali. My daughter is making jewelry too - says she loves it more than the design, sewing and pattern-draping/making. She's taking more courses now in making jewelry.

Love them all Ali! Beautiful, gorgeous and sweet :) Thinking about getting in to making Jewellry this summer, while on break from teaching, fingers crossed.

Girl, when's the site coming up? You really should show what you do to the world because it's simple and so elegant! I love them all!

(Do you do rings??? :P Those are my fave...)

~left-handed trees - I've been wearing bracelets like that, too. Also not my usual style, but I'm having fun. Thanks for the support.

~Alina - Thanks, girl!

~Boho - Coming from you, a true compliment. I love all of your things as well!

~Paris Parfait - Oh, look out - she'll become hopelessly addicted like me! :) Does she have any photos of her work (sewing, jewelry, etc.)?

~La Vie - Yummy to make, too.

~Toni - Thank you! I can't encourage you enough to try out jewelry making. It's such a fun hobby...it's relaxing, stimulates your creativity and at the end you have a great wearable piece of art. Go for it!

~Jo Ann - I've yet to set a goal for myself for when the site will be up and running. I'll let you know how the plans go... I've yet to do rings, but you've just given me the inspiration to try.

~Alphawoman - Doesn't exist yet for the very practical reason that in Mozambique I have no way of shipping my things except for DHL, which is super, super expensive. I'm trying to work out something where I'll have a representative in the US that will take care of this for me, but it will be at least a few months. I'll let you know as soon as it's up and running.

~Kristine - Soon, my friend...soon!

~Ama Miz - Thank you. I'm going to do a series of the second design, each one will be different colors or chain shape...

~Ruby - Thanks!

~Megg - Thank you so much!

~Jane Poe - I can't wait to take some wire work classes so that I can further develop my style. Thanks for the support.

Beautiful work, Ali. Can you make me a chunky turquoise bracelet? I'll pay.

I have the wrists of a potato farmer. I know I've said it before, but that's because I'm not lying. I could strangle an alligator.
