and 4 Have Been Home at Some Point...

Idea inspired by Mandi's blog. All the countries I've visited in my 25 years. Looks like the East is in some dire need of attention. :)

create your own visited countries map

Have you ever heard the quote, "The world is a book. Those who don't travel read only a page." I marvel at anyone who picks up and leaves home and goes far away. I have done it myself and yearn to again at some point but for now I shall live that goal vicariously through my dear expat blogs like yours!. I am off to make my own map now!

Wow-ee! *gasping in awe*

I mean your blog has a bit of an 'I've travelled the world' vibe to it, if you look closely ;-) but even so, wow.

I have to have my own map. Even though it will be pathetic. I WANT ONE!!!

Ali:
"What's with the total prejudice against musica en español in Brasil? With so much great music on that continent I'm really surprised there isn't more intercâmbio in both directions."

Maybe it has something to do with the vicious rivalry between samba and salsa (and woe to anyone who confuses the two!)...

But honestly, I've been hearing more Spanish stuff recently, at least in the favela. There was a month of reggaeton and then Shakira and always plenty of Rebelde...it makes me think fondly of Peru.

Anyhow, loved the map thing and have plunked it up on my own blog! Thanks:)

~Alexandra - I've never heard that quote but I like it. Where do you want to visit on your next trip?

~Jemima - Yay, I can't wait to see your map!

~Jenna- Oh, this makes me so excited to go back to Rio. I LOVE musica en español and, back when I lived in Rio in 2000/2001, had to scour the city for the random places a handful of Bolivians and Colombians would assemble to dance salsa. This is an encouraging trend, indeed.

~Toni - Thanks for the update. I'm curious...what designs will these be?
