My Roots

Field of sunflowers behind my dad's house.

Sandia mountains as photographed during a day hike.

Angel from the Sanctuario de Chimayo.

Luminarias and snow, welcoming Christmas in New Mexico.

A bit of history in Las Trampas.

thank you... the foto's are so real and so removed from european life, i love them for reminding me that people everywhere live lives in different and "inexplicably" meaningful ways :P

keep well...

Thank you, thank you! I'm back in Venice, but I miss New Mexico already. Must have been wonderful to grow up there.

It's funny - the more time I spend away from New Mexico, the more I realize just how deep my roots are there and just how much I love and appreciate that place.

I imagine NM is somewhere I'd like to have a summer or winter home, up in the mountains in the middle of nowhere. It's the perfect place for creativity, as scores of artists and writers have proven over the years.

i found your blog from your very sweet comment that you left on mine...
i am glad to have found you!

new mexico is, truly, a magical place. in april, i went to angel fire and stayed at a friends house there.

i drove the high road with my friend, doris, and the enchantment sucked me in. i left a bit of my heart out there in that lovely land.
